Wilder said Friday that he knows some of the witnesses listed in the court documents, but he was unaware of the charges or that a warrant had been issued. He said he was living in Canada in 1994 and denies the charges. On Thursday, assistant principal Joseph Pawlick announced that Wilder had been dismissed, citing inaccurate information supplied by Wilder in his resume. Wilder had listed himself as head baseball coach at Verdugo Hills High in 1992 when he was officially an assistant coach. Bernie Carr, principal at Westlake Elementary School and the father of Westlake pitcher Tim Carr, was one of the most vocal parents challenging Wilder's coaching background. ``My concern goes to veracity veracity (v n ,'' Carr said. ``I feel the guy doesn't have the ability to tell the truth to kids and parents.''
