EWING NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING FOR KERR-MCGEE COAL

 OKLAHOMA CITY, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Wayne T. Ewing has been named executive vice president of marketing for Kerr-McGee Coal Corp., according to Robert C. Scharp, Kerr-McGee Coal president. Ewing is responsible for marketing and strategic planning.
 Ewing brings 30 years of experience in the coal industry to the position. He began his career with Peabody Coal Co. in 1963, advancing to president and director of the company in 1983 and president and director of Peabody Development Co. in 1985.
 Ewing holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown (Ky.) College and a master's degree from Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green.
 Scharp said, "Mr. Ewing brings a wealth of marketing experience to the coal company. His many years of executive marketing leadership will enhance and strengthen our present and future marketing plans."
