EWERS, RIGSBY BRING EXPERIENCE TO SHOPPING CENTER.Byline: THE NEW MEXICAN Local businessmen Steve Ewers and Josh Rigsby are the new owners of the shopping center on the south side of Avenida Vista Grande in Eldorado. The center, formerly known as The Village, has been renamed La Tienda Eldorado. La Tienda will be a shopping center focused on serving the whole community. Plans under consideration include an art supply store/studio and class space, businesses that provide after-school services to children and more, a statement said. Ewers is a long-time member of the Eldorado community and a Santa Fe businessman. He is best known for his award-winning business, Santa Fe Computer Works. Rigsby is a native of Northern New Mexico. His businesses in Albuquerque and Santa Fe have focused primarily on technology and his passion for off-road racing. Ewers and Rigsby have partnered on several successful commercial and residential real estate projects and, together, they have made a consistent commitment to support local nonprofits, to focus on a healthy environment, and to maintain their integrity as human beings in their business relationships, the statement said. Ewers and Rigsby said the new owners of the neighboring Agora shopping center have done an exceptional job with their mix of businesses, site improvements and focus on community events. They hope to work with them and augment their efforts.
