EVault's Quick File Scanning technology. After a baseline copy of data files has been created, the system automatically checks for new files and any changes in existing files at the data source by comparing the hash numbers of the present data files with the hash numbers of the data files in the baseline copy. Only new files and changed data blocks of existing files are then sent to the storage location and merged into their corresponding data files in the baseline copy.
