ETHICS IN BUSINESS: A FRIENDLY GUIDE TO ETHICALLY SOUND DECISIONS.

AUTHORS: Robert and Dorothy Maddux

PUBLISHER: Crisp Publications, Palo Alto, CA 1989, 70 pp

ISBN: 0 931961 69 6.

This is a(nother) workbook in an extensive series of 50-min. books from Crisp. The book is based on the authors' idea that "wrong is frequently committed by well-meaning people simply because they have never given serious thought to an issue one way or the other." If you are in a position to make decisions where right or wrong (ethics) plays a role, you will benefit from this workbook. If you want a short, inexpensive book to use in a short course (say, at a lunch-and-learn class), I heartily suggest this book. It is well written, has many case studies to discuss, a useful 10-step method for solving ethical problems and a five rule program for ethical behavior. Here is a helpful, even enjoyable, way to give serious thought to those questions where right vs. wrong play a role.
