ETC Corporation Taps Industry Veteran For Director of Corporate Communications.

RICHARDSON, Texas -- Electronic Transaction Consultants ("ETC"), one of the premiere providers of electronic toll collection solutions, today announced that it has named Carla Kienast as its Director of Corporate Communications. Kienast has extensive experience in the electronic toll collection industry including such projects as the Dallas North Tollway (Dallas), the Crescent City Connection and Lake Ponchartrain Causeway (New Orleans), the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, the Cross Harbour and Aberdeen Tunnels (Hong Kong), and the E-470 tollway (Denver). For the past eight years, she has headed Carla Kienast Consulting, providing a broad array of communications services for a diverse clientele, including marketing and communications strategies for leading companies in the electronic toll industry.

Tim Gallagher, Managing Director, commented, "We expect Carla's technical, operational, and communications expertise to provide significant benefits to ETC as we continue to expand our market presence. In addition to her communications expertise, Carla brings her experience at establishing and managing customer service center operations, as well as marketing and promoting electronic toll collection programs. She was involved in some of the industry's earliest electronic toll projects and she helped create policies and procedures that are still in use today. One of her main responsibilities will be to lead our technical proposal and marketing communications efforts, which will be important factors as we take ETC to the next level."

Recognized for its innovation in the toll industry, ETC successfully delivered the system design and integration for the first all-electronic, open road toll facility in the U.S., has designed and implemented technically complex 3+ express AVI lanes, and created advanced solutions for HOT (high-occupancy toll) lanes. ETC's systems provide interoperability between geographically dispersed toll facilities, airports and parking. ETC's team introduced the industry's first Web-based toll solution suite, which includes modules for Customer Service Center operations, Violation Processing Center, Audit and Reconciliation Host, Interoperability, Facility Server and Lane Controller.
