ESQUIRE RADIO & ELECTRONICS TO CONTEST CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

BROOKLYN, N.Y., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Esquire Radio & Electronics, Inc. (AMEX: EE) announced today that an individual stockholder has filed a purported class action lawsuit in the Chancery Court of the State of Delaware against the Company and its directors alleging, among other things, that the Company's offer to purchase up to 150,000 of its own shares of common stock at $47.00 per share is misleading and that the offer is in violation of Delaware law and a breach of fiduciary duties.
The plaintiff states that he intends to seek a preliminary and permanent injunction against the self tender offer. The offer commenced on Nov. 9, 1993, and is scheduled to expire on Dec. 9, 1993, unless extended.
The Company believes that the lawsuit is without merit and intends to vigorously oppose it.
