ESPNET SportsZone tops list of high traffic destination sites; Leads I/PRO Audit Of 75 Internet Destinations.


BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 1996--Starwave Corporation and ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network  Enterprises today announced that ESPNET SportsZone, their jointly operated on-line sports information and entertainment service, was the most visited content site on the Internet's World Wide Web in an audit of 75 major Web sites.

ESPNET SportsZone was listed as the most frequently visited site during the month of May by I/PRO, the first and largest provider of Web auditing and on-line marketing technologies. Unlike panel or survey companies that generate statistics on Web activity using only small end-user samples, I/PRO's assessment is derived from the usage patterns of millions of end users.
