ESPN and Adelphia Sign ESPN Broadband, ESPN Deportes and ESPN HD Distribution Agreements.

BRISTOL, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 2004

ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network , The Worldwide Leader in Sports, announced today that it has reached agreement with Adelphia Communications for the distribution of ESPN Broadband, ESPN Deportes and ESPN HD.

"We are very pleased to expand our relationship with Adelphia by offering three additional ESPN products to its growing base of high-definition, Spanish-language and high-speed modem customers," said Sean Bratches, executive vice president of affiliate sales and marketing, ESPN. ESPN Broadband

ESPN Broadband offers a robust and unique video experience that demonstrates the true value of a broadband connection. It provides customized on-demand, high-quality sports video highlights, news, statistics, standings, and editorial content to high-speed modem users.

ESPN Deportes

ESPN Deportes, a 24-hour, Spanish-language sports network offers a selection of Spanish-language sports news and information shows, including its own edition of SportsCenter. Live sporting events and other programs include Gol ESPN: Fuera de Juego, a round table discussion of the world of soccer, and ESPN's Perfiles, a half-hour interview show which takes a revealing look at prominent Latin American sports stars.

ESPN HD

One year ago ESPN made a significant commitment to spur the growth of high-definition television when it debuted ESPN HD, the first high-definition national sports service in the country.
