ESL demonstrates Mail Sanity at EMA; allows exchange and notes users to access X.500 compliant Netscape directory server.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 26, 1996--Enterprise Solutions Limited (ESL) Friday announced that Mail Sanity will be demonstrated in Booth 329 at the EMA show in Anaheim, Calif., April 28-May 1.

Mail Sanity is the first in a set of tools for organizing, managing and distributing information from diverse sources on an enterprise-wide level. Mail Sanity allows users with proprietary client-based mail applications such as Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes and X.400 based mail clients such as EXM/Mail, to access information contained in an X.500 or X.500-compliant directory such as the recently announced Netscape Directory Server.

Mail Sanity resides on the client and translates MAPI directly to Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), the new standard for accessing X.500 and X.500-compliant directories on the Internet and within Intranets. Users may rapidly search globally distributed directories to retrieve e-mail addresses and databases without leaving the familiarity of their mail application. Access to a global directory is a top priority for many companies in today's competitive economy due to reduced administrative costs, improved internal and external communications, and increased productivity.

In addition, uniting all corporate records into a single distributed directory eliminates concerns of information accuracy due to incomplete synchronization of data or attempts to exchange incompatible directory information.

Mail Sanity is the first introduction in a series of directory-enabling tools for global information management that make up ESL's Corporate Sanity strategy. An announcement on how the Corporate Sanity suite can help messaging administrators solve communications problems between diverse mail client applications and directories will be available at the EMA show.
