 Systems.

The systems will be shipped during ESI's third quarter, ending March 1, 2003.

"ESI (Edge Side Includes) A markup language for Web pages that enables elements of a Web page to be dynamically assembled in servers distributed throughout the Internet.  continues to supply us with the best laser trimming solutions required for production of our products," said Richard Kuhn, Chief Financial Officer of Systron Donner's Inertial Sensor Division. "Their laser technology meets our material processing needs and allows us to increase our production to meet our automotive customer requirements."

"This order will complement Systron Donner's existing ESI laser trimming equipment, and optimizes their productivity," said Bruce Goldwater, ESI's Director of Circuit Fine Tuning Fine Tuning is the name of XM Satellite Radio's eclectic music channel. The program director for Fine Tuning is Ben Smith.

The channel is described as "A musical oasis for the sophisticated listener culled from every imaginable genre and country.
products. "ESI provides a range of lasers whose applications can be customized to meet specific customer needs. Using our laser/material interaction expertise, Systron Donner is able to reduce manufacturing costs and improve precision and accuracy. As electronic sensor content increases, ESI's laser trimming equipment will be essential in many other automotive applications."

ESI's Model 4990 is designed for thick and thin-film trimming on ceramic substrates. The system can be configured with any of four different wavelengths -- 1320, 1064, 532 or 355 nanometers -- depending on customer application. A high-speed beam galvanometer driver significantly reduces beam positioner move times for increased throughput. Integrated pattern recognition automatically locates parts quickly and reliably for accurate placement of laser trims. Overall, the system is designed for easy set-up, low maintenance and high performance trimming for increased productivity.
