ESI Announces Converged Communications Platform; Company Introduces ESI-600 System for the Enterprise.

Capitalizing on ESI's extensive expertise in product development, the ESI-600 offers organizations the flexibility to create a customized and powerful communication infrastructure that can grow as their business needs change. --Converged communications -- The ESI-600 operates as all-digital, all-IP, or any combination of the two technologies, making it easier for end users to have the phone system that will best suit their specific communications needs.

--Enterprise-class capacities -- The ESI-600 supports up to 408 stations and up to 168 phone lines. The proven fifth-generation integrated voice mail has 32 built-in channels independent of system ports, stores up to 1,200 hours of voice messages, and supports nearly 1,500 voice mailboxes. The conference bridge allows up to 64 simultaneous members, with dynamic assignment of up to 16 members per conference.

--Standards-based design -- The ESI-600's IP capabilities are supported by compliance with these major industry standards: UDP UDP (uridine diphosphate): see uracil.

--48-Key IP Feature Phone II -- Exclusive to the ESI-600, the 48-Key IP Feature Phone II provides the full ESI feature set either "locally" (on a LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used. ) or remotely from virtually any location with a broadband connection. The 48-Key IP Feature Phone II offers the convenience of Power over Ethernet (PoE) or can be powered using an AC adapter.

--Cordless Handset support -- ESI Cordless Handsets, the first cordless products to encompass the ESI feature set, are fully supported on the ESI-600.

Availability

The ESI-600, ESI PC Attendant Console, and the IP versions of the ESI Cordless Handsets will be available in the second quarter of 2006 through ESI's network of Certified Resellers.
