) has brokered a sublease sublease n. the lease of all or a portion of premises by a tenant who has leased the premises from the owner. A sublease may be prohibited by the original lease, or require written permission from the owner.  for 36,000 square feet of space on the 27th floor at One Liberty Plaza One Liberty Plaza is a skyscraper in lower Manhattan, New York, which resides at the location of the former Singer Building (in 1968, the second tallest building to be demolished). One Liberty Plaza is currently owned and operated by Brookfield Properties.  for Digital Equipment Corporation, announced Edward S. Gordon, brokerage firm's chairman.

The giant computer manufacturing firm subleased the space from The Bank of Nova Scotia Nova Scotia (nō`və skō`shə) [Lat.,=new Scotland], province (2001 pop. 908,007), 21,425 sq mi (55,491 sq km), E Canada. Geography
 and is relocating from 65 Broadway. The 10-year sublease has an aggregate value of $10 million.

ESG's Carol Nelson, Mary Ann Tighe and Bruce E. Surry represented the sublessor in the transaction.
