ESDC, AvalonBay break ground for Long Island City rental complex.


Empire State Development Corp. chairman Charles A. Gargano joined local officials and business leaders last week at a groundbreaking event for a high-quality rental complex to be constructed in Long Island City.

The new community, Avalon Riverview North, will feature 602 rental apartments with upscale finishes and an array of amenities.

 Manhattan, many of the apartments will have sweeping views of the city's skyline. The 39-story building will offer a variety of beautifully designed studios, and one- and two-bedroom layouts, as well as 2,750 s/f of retail space. Occupancy of Avalon Riverview North is expected to begin in late 2007.
