The letter was released Thursday by Department of Corrections officials who hoped it would expedite his capture. Officials also released a photo of Anderson, who has been described as a cross-dresser. ``By his own admission he's gone to the beach, he's gone to amusement parks, he's gone to other parks where people are with their children, where people would normally be having a leisure time,'' said Tip Kindel, the department's assistant director. ``We're hoping that maybe someone in these areas, by seeing the picture on television and realizing he's frequented these places, it may click, `Oh gee, maybe I saw that guy the other day,' '' he said. Anderson broke out of the medical facility April 10 after cutting the bars in his cell and slipping past an unmanned guard tower. He was serving a term of 16 years to life in prison for murder, robbery, grand theft and possession of stolen property.
