ERNST AGREES TO REIMBURSE CUSTOMERS FOR 'ILLEGAL' TOILETS

SEATTLE, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Attorney General of Washington announced today that Washington residents who purchased "illegal" toilets from Ernst Home Centers will be reimbursed for the toilets and any expenses for their installation and removal.
The State Attorney General's Office has entered into an agreement in which the home improvement firm will pay customers who bought the "White China" toilets, which use 3.5 gallons per flush, instead of 1.6 gallons as state law requires.
Customers who purchased the 3.5 gallons per flush toilets from Ernst after July 1 should return them to the Ernst store where they purchased them with any appropriate receipts or other documentation for reimbursement.
If consumers have any questions, they should call the toll-free ConsumerLine of the Attorney General's Office at 800-551-4636, or their local Ernst store.
