ERICSSON UNVEILS WORLD'S SMALLEST TDMA DIGITAL CELLULAR PHONE.

Ericsson introduced the world's first TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) A satellite and cellular phone technology that interleaves multiple digital signals onto a single high-speed channel. For cellular, TDMA triples the capacity of the original analog method (FDMA).  (Time Division Multiple Access) digital cellular phone at this show three years ago. Called th DH338, this new easy-to-use digital weighs just 6.9 ounces and takes advantage of TDMA technology.

The DH338 also offers such advanced features as automatic display and storage of up to 10 incoming call numbers, message waiting indicator Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) in telephony, is a Bellcore term for an FSK-based telephone calling feature that illuminates an LED on select telephones to notify a telephone user of waiting voicemail messages on most North American public telephone networks and PBXs. , and caller number identification.

Other new telephones on display at the Winter CES include the DH343, a TDMA flip phone boasting the same size, weight, and features as the DH338, and two new additions to Ericsson's analog line, the AH210 flip phone and the AH237.
