ERGONOMICS REGS FINALIZED.

Beginning in January, new Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations governing ergonomics will be in effect. The regulations apply to every company, except for those engaged in construction, maritime activities or agriculture.

OSHA requires businesses to provide employees with information about ergonomic injuries and their symptoms. Employees whose disorders are caused by their job are entitled to medical attention and time off. Additionally, employers must then take steps to correct the hazards that led to the injury.
