ER Urgent Care Adds Pharmacy Component.

MIAMI -- ER Urgent Care (Pink Sheets:ERUG) is proud to announce a joint venture with pharmaceutical solutions company IV Rx. The collaborative effort will allow ER Urgent Care to set up full service pharmacies in all its centers, becoming a part of the PHD Network. As part of the network, ER Urgent Care Centers will now be able to bill for all PBM medications. All meds will be billed electronically and create additional revenue for the Urgent Care Centers in the form of patient co-payment, dispensing fee and reimbursement from the PBMs through the PHD Network.

"To have an idea of how profitable this venture can be, if we average 100 meds prescribed per day. By filling these prescriptions in-house and billing electronically, at an average of $50/medication at approximately 25% profit each, we can increase revenue by $450,000 per year, per center," explains Jerry Miller, CEO and Founder of ER Urgent Care Centers.

In addition, the collaboration will allow ER Urgent Care Centers to treat patients in need of intravenous medication by setting up infusion suites. This will expand ER Urgent Care Centers services by adding treatments for HIV, Crohn's Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
