Roll feed granulators

A roll feed option has been introduced for the company's line of granulators. This option has been designed to allow easy feeding of film and sheet scrap reclaim into the granulator hopper. The roll feed is currently operating in the field on several of the company's granulators, including the heavy duty Model 1626. Typical reclaim applications on the Model 1626 include 12" wide, 1/8" thick loading dock weatherstrips, and other extruded film and sheet type products. A variable speed motor drives counter-rotating rolls to pull the material into the granulator hopper. Roll pressure on material is pneumatically controlled. Input speed is infinitely variable, meaning the drive can be set at the optimum speeds for any application. Material can be manually or automatically fed into the roll feed hopper. The roll feed option is available on a variety of the company's granulators, with openings from 6" to 48" wide. (Hosokawa Polymer Systems)

Electric walk-in oven

The No. 825 is a 500 [degrees] F electric walk-in oven, currently in use for curing latex at a customer's facility. This unit is a modified version of the company's standard model WTH WTH - who/what/why the hell? Also WTF. 566-500 walk-in oven. Workspace dimensions inside this unit measure 54" wide x 72" deep x 72" high. 30 kW power is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 6,000 cfm, 5 hp recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the workload. Construction features on the No. 825 include 4" thick insulated walls, 2" insulated floor with truck wheel guide-tracks, aluminized steel Aluminized steel is steel that has been hot-dip coated both sides with aluminum-silicon alloy. This process assures a tight metallurgical bond between the steel sheet and its aluminum coating, producing a material with a unique combination of properties possessed neither by steel  exterior, Type 304, 2B stainless steel stainless steel: see steel.

Pneumatic scissors scissors

Cutting instrument or tool consisting of a pair of opposed metal blades that meet and cut when the handles at their ends are brought together. Modern scissors are of two types: the more usual pivoted blades have a rivet or screw connection between the cutting ends

Airshirz industrial pneumatic scissors are said to increase worker productivity while reducing muscle fatigue. Light-weight, yet powerful, Airshirz are said to provide clean, accurate cutting, snipping and trimming of rubber, fabrics and many other materials, resulting in less waste and a better-looking finished product, according to according to

Yet Airshirz are said to require approximately 90% less muscle activity to operate, and achieve up to 127% greater worker productivity over manual scissors, according to the manufacturer. Airshirz scissors are now available in two grip designs, including a two-finger grip for smaller hands and a larger finger loop style. Both designs feature an automatic spring-return action so no effort is required to open the blades. Moreover, the pneumatic design is said to give the user complete control over the cutting action, promoting safe operation. (Bettcher Industries)

Hot oil control units

Thermal VAC (Volts Alternating Current) See volt and AC.  negative pressure hot oil temperature control units use negative pressure to keep production running longer and stronger, even under the most demanding conditions, according to the company. A low-pressure centrifugal pump centrifugal pump

then draws oil through the process under negative pressure. With this system, if a leak develops in a process, air is sucked in instead of hot oil being forced out. This means that if the process develops a leak, it does not need to be immediately shut down. Molding efficiency is not compromised. The process can continue to run under negative pressure until an opportune stopping point arises. Thermal VAC is said to have substantial vacuum pressure to overcome virtually all leaks without lessening oil flow, according to the company. (Budzar Industries)

Vertical clamp insert molding

The company has developed a 62" rotary table A rotary table is a precision work positioning device used in metalworking. It enables the operator to drill or cut work at exact intervals around a fixed (usually horizontal or vertical) axis.  for 200 ton vertical clamp insert molding application. With larger and larger molds being used in industries like automotive manufacturing, the company increased the standard 46" rotary table by a considerable 16" to accommodate an application producing large headlight components. And to meet future large mold applications, the 62" rotary table is now available as a standard option on all 200 ton vertical clamp machines. The 200 ton machine's clamp height was extended to deliver more daylight and accommodate larger molds. Built for an automotive molder, this particular machine also features an optional vertical and horizontal light curtain A light curtain is a device which uses an array of photoelectric sensors to detect the presence of an object. Light curtains are commonly used with industrial equipment to 1) ensure machine safety at a point of operation control, area access control, or perimeter access, or 2) , instead of the standard safety gate.
