Dry screw vacuum pump 

The Cobra single stage, direct driven dry screw vacuum pump is said to be ideal for rubber and plastic extruder barrel evacuation. It has a higher and more consistent vacuum than liquid ring vacuum pumps and also eliminates water contamination, according to the company. The Cobra dry screw vacuum pump requires no intercoolers and is said to offer greater efficiency and easier maintenance than other types of dry vacuum pumps because of its simple screw de-sign. The Cobra dry screw vacuum pumps are said to provide vacuum down to 5 x [10.sup.-2] and displacements to 495 CFM. Other Cobra advantages are said to include oil-free operation and no disposal costs; small footprint for less-space requirements; non-contacting parts for longer pump life; optional purging system for dilution of toxic and condensable process gas; and it can accept liquid injection in special applications for flushing. The company's Cobra roots-type booster systems are available for higher pumping speeds and lower ultimate pressures. Hydraulic drives for mixers

Hydraulic drives are available for mixers and roll mills. Independently-controlled hydraulic drives mount directly on rotor shafts, saving space and installation time, according to the company. In addition, the drives are said to deliver full rated torque from standstill to maximum operating speed, are highly resistant to shock loads, and can be controlled by a PLC. Aeromechanical conveyors

Updated and improved versions of the company's aeromechanical conveyor systems are offered. Aero conveying is the movement of material using the features and benefits of pneumatic and mechanical conveying in a single package to move dry bulk materials. The company's aeromechanical conveyors are said to offer many configurations to handle a wide range of products. The systems range from a basic up and in format to complex multi-plane distribution systems where multiple inlets and/or outlets are required. Aerome-chanical conveying allows for additional tubing, sprockets, inlets and outlets, as well as bends and other configurations to be added to meet the needs of particular applications. Electric bench oven

The No. 754 is a Class 100 electric bench oven currently being used for curing robber parts. The 10 kw heat input, which is installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, provides a maximum operating temperature of 500 [degrees] F. The workspace dimensions measure 30" wide x 31" deep x 27" high, and the insulation measures 4" throughout the oven. A 1 hp recirculating blower provides a horizontal airflow at 1,000 cfm. The unit is mounted on 24" legs. The 304 stainless steel interior with continuously backwelded seams features passivated stainless steel shelves. A 12" x 12" x 6" thick HEPA fresh air filter with 2" thick prefilter and a 30" x 24" x 6" thick stainless steel high temperature HEPA recirculating blower filter are included. Also featured is a circular chart recording temperature controller, and a silicone rubber door gasket. This oven is equipped with all the safety equipment required when using an electric unit to process flammable solvents. These safety features include a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, airflow safety switches for the power forced exhauster and primary blower, a power-forced exhauster and a purge timer.
