EPSILON SQUARED LAUNCHES "INSTALLWATCH 1.1 BASIC".

Epsilon Squared, Inc. has launched InstallWatch 1.1 Basic to complement InstallWatch 1.1 Professional that was released on April 15, 1999. With InstallWatch 1.1 Basic, the casual PC user will be able to track changes made to their PC like the computer professional, but at a lower cost.

InstallWatch is a Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 95 application that records all changes made to a PC during the installation of software from the World Wide Web, CD-ROMS, or floppies. InstallWatch can also record all modifications made during configuration changes and hardware additions.

InstallWatch Basic is designed for individual PC users who want to track changes that are made to their PC, but don't require the advanced features found in the professional version of InstallWatch. InstallWatch Basic uses a simplified interface to assist the user with documenting changes when installing software. Features included in InstallWatch Basic are: a wizard mode, printing, limited INI file change tracking, full registry change tracking, full documentation of all file and folder changes on the user's "C" drive, and auto detecting of setup programs.

InstallWatch Professional is intended for PC professionals requiring additional control over how changes are tracked. The professional version includes everything in InstallWatch Basic plus these additional features: manual mode operation, the capability to define what changes are tracked, tracking of file version information, full INI file change tracking, monitoring of any drive including network drives, adding comments to each installation, exportable registry changes, browser viewable HTML reports, and the ability to create InstallKits which are compatible with Epsilon Squared's InstallDistributor product.

To reproduce software installations, InstallDistributor utilizes InstallKits containing a mirror image of the application created from a source PC. InstallDistributor will precisely recreate the installation along with any configuration changes, system settings, user settings and preferences. The InstallKits can be installed from any media including CD-ROMS, the World Wide Web, a network server, or even from a copy on a hard drive. InstallDistributor comes with a simple to use interface allowing even the most novice user to utilize the InstallKit.

InstallWatch Basic costs $15 for a single license. Discounts are available for volume purchases. A trial version can be downloaded from the InstallWatch web site at http://www.installwatch.com. Customers can purchase InstallWatch Basic from the web site or directly from Epsilon Squared, Inc..
