EPIC Technologies CEO and COO Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) 2006 Award Winner in Central Great Lakes Region; Award Recognizes Entrepreneurial Excellence in Technology Category.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. -- EPIC Technologies, LLC, today announced that John Sammut, president and CEO, and Jochen Lipp, vice president operations and COO, had received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) 2006 Award in the Technology category in the Central Great Lakes region. According to Ernst & Young, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic and growing businesses. Sammut and Lipp were selected by an independent panel of judges and the award was presented at an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 20th anniversary gala event at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dearborn, MI on June 8.

"While Jochen and I are getting the primary recognition in this award, the reality is that the accomplishments that drove this recognition were attributable to efforts of the entire management and staff of EPIC. We have an outstanding team and this award continues to demonstrate that industry observers are recognizing that superior results are being generated," said Sammut.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and continues to honor entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. As a Central Great Lakes region award winner, Sammut and Lipp are now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2006 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 18, 2006. The overall national Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipient is then considered for the world event held in Monte Carlo.
