EPA and DOE Name OSRAM SYLVANIA ENERGY STAR 2005 Partner of the Year; OSRAM SYLVANIA Earns Energy Star Award for Third Consecutive Year.

DANVERS, Mass. -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) have named OSRAM SYLVANIA as an ENERGY STAR(R) Partner of the Year for its outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by making and promoting energy-efficient products. The company's accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 15, 2005.

OSRAM SYLVANIA, an ENERGY STAR partner since 1999, will receive the Energy Star Partner of the Year award for its ongoing leadership in manufacturing and promoting energy efficient lighting products that earn the ENERGY STAR rating, the government-backed symbol of energy efficiency. In addition to their commitment to producing energy-efficient products, OSRAM SYLVANIA has voluntarily reduced energy use by installing highly efficient lighting systems in its facilities, and has worked extensively to educate the public and its employees about the benefits of energy efficient products and practices.
