"TECHNOLOGY PERFORMANCE (the report concludes) ...Brake-specific fuel consumption (BSFC BSFC Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (amount of fuel consumed by an engine divided by its power output) ) and brake specific gaseous emissions showed statistically significant improvements at the majority of operating notches. Line-haul duty cycle-weighted BSFC and gaseous emissions also improved. Switch duty cycle-weighted (BSFC) and all gaseous emissions showed statistically significant improvements." MDECHEM believes this is the first additive tested by the EPA that achieved both fuel economy improvements and gaseous emissions reductions. NOTE: Safe Harbor Safe Harbor 1.
