EPA Names Ciba Specialty Chemicals in Newport Top Environmental Performer.

NEWPORT, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 2000

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), independent agency of the U.S. government, with headquarters in Washington, D.C. It was established in 1970 to reduce and control air and water pollution, noise pollution, and radiation and to ensure the safe handling and  has named Ciba Specialty Chemicals' Newport Site as one of the top 225 businesses and facilities in the U.S. for environmental performance. Ciba's Newport site has been listed as a charter member in the National Environmental Achievement Track Program. Ciba is the only business in Delaware to receive this award.

Ciba was recognized for its storm water collection program, which was rated best in the country by the EPA EPA eicosapentaenoic acid.
