The McKenzie River is a tributary of the Willamette River, 86 miles (138 km) long, in northwestern Oregon in the United States. It drains part of the Cascade Range east of Eugene into the southernmost end of the Willamette Valley. Home and Garden Tour may be purchased from merchants in the McKenzie Valley and at several other locations. This self-guided tour of seven homes and gardens is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 17. The tour includes visits to a restored farmhouse, a family's dream home on a hillside, a 13-acre garden, two summer cabins and a completely remodeled home with guest house. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 the day of the tour. Children under 14 are free. Proceeds go to the McKenzie River Clinic in Blue River.
