ENTREE NOTES.Byline: The Register Guard Wine tastings THURSDAY Ambrosia ambrosia (ămbrō`zhə), in Greek mythology, food and drink with which the Olympian gods preserved their immortality. Extraordinarily fragrant, ambrosia was probably conceived of as a purified and idealized form of honey. Restaurant and Bar - Celebrate the harvest by tasting Nouveau Beaujolais wine from France on the first day of its release. Only seven to nine weeks old, the wine is held in bonded warehouses until 12:01 a.m. on the third Thursday in November. As it has for the past 17 years, Ambrosia also will showcase several pinot noir wines from Oregon during this 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. wine tasting. The restaurant is at 174 E. Broadway. The $10 per person cost for the tasting includes an array of appetizers. Special dinners THURSDAY Marche - The food and wine of Beaujolais will be featured at this month's French regional dinner at Marche in the Fifth Street Public Market.
