ENRG Acquires Blue Energy & Technologies LLC; Largest Vehicular Natural Gas Provider Enters Texas and Colorado Markets.

ENRG, the largest provider of vehicular natural gas and related services in North America, has acquired Blue Energy & Technologies LLC (Blue Energy). With this acquisition, ENRG enters the growing Texas and Colorado markets for compressed natural gas Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is a substitute for gasoline (petrol) or diesel fuel. It is considered to be an environmentally "clean" alternative to those fuels. It is made by compressing natural gas (which is mainly composed by methane (CH4  (CNG) and liquified natural gas (LNG).

Blue Energy, with 56 fueling stations, provides natural gas fueling services for customers such as Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport, SYSCO Foods, Ft. "Texas, in particular, has strong growth potential from the $188 million pledged annually by the state over the next five years to promote clean transportation and will become a significant regional market for natural gas vehicles," added ENRG vice president of business development, Mitchell Pratt, who will oversee administration of the acquired operations. "The Blue Energy LNG operations in Texas also complement ENRG's growing presence in that fueling segment with more than 15 LNG transport trailers serving Texas and the Southwest."

Blue Energy's principal shareholder, Washington DC-based Perseus 2000 LLC, and ENRG's other principal shareholders have committed additional capital to provide significant additional resources to expand the Company's presence in the natural gas vehicle marketplace. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

ENRG is the largest provider of vehicular CNG and LNG in North America with a broad customer base in the refuse, transit, shuttle, taxi, police, intrastate and interstate trucking, airport and municipal fleet markets with tens of thousands of vehicles fueling at more than 145 locations in the United States and Canada.
