I can't get over the City Council.

First, they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight the federal- government-approved gravel pit Noun 1. gravel pit - a quarry for gravel
stone pit, quarry, pit - a surface excavation for extracting stone or slate; "a British term for `quarry' is `stone pit'"
 that will send trucks down the freeways.

Then, they refused to allow the developer who bought the old Bermite property to clean the area one phase at a time.

But now, they intend to approve the removal of hundreds of tons of the soil from the Centre Point Business Park, next to the Bermite site, to bring to the center of town for Auto Row, according to according to
prep.
1. As stated or indicated by; on the authority of: according to historians.

2. In keeping with: according to instructions.

 the Daily News story about 50 truckloads an hour.

They carry on about how much tax revenue they, not we, get from Auto Row. But apparently none of them have turned the corner of Valencia Valencia, region, Spain

Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  and would generate a lot of additional taxes since Galpin has five or six different lines of cars it could sell.
