ENGlobal Corporation Named to the Engineering News-Record Ranking of `Top 500 Design Firms' for Tenth Straight Year; ENR Marks Its 130th Anniversary.

HOUSTON -- ENGlobal Corporation (AMEX:ENG), a leading provider of engineering services, today announced that it was recently recognized as one of the top engineering companies in the United States by Engineering News-Record ("ENR") in the publication's 40th annual "Top 500 Design Firms" 2004 survey (http://enr.construction.com/people/topLists/topDesignFirm/ topdesign_51-100.asp). Overall, ENGlobal placed 59 out of 500 firms having the highest revenue gained from design services performed during 2003 and was one of the 15 highest-ranked publicly traded engineering companies. ENGlobal was ranked 82 of 500 in 2003, compared to its 123rd position in 2002.

Between 2002 and 2003, ENGlobal advanced 17 places to become the 29th largest "pure" design firm on the ENR list. In addition, ENR ranked the Company as number 13 out of the 25 largest engineering firms serving the petroleum industry. This reflects a significant improvement from its 2002 placement of number 17. ENGlobal was also ranked as number four in the ranking of the largest 15 pipeline engineering companies, number 12 in the ranking of the top 15 refinery and petrochemical plant engineering companies and number 19 in the ranking of the top 20 industrial process/petroleum engineering companies.
