EMPLOYEE BURNED IN PLANT FIRE.

SAUGUS - One person was injured when a fire broke out at a recycling plant, then spread to brush in Soledad Canyon Soledad Canyon is a long narrow canyon / valley located in Los Angeles County, California between the cities of Palmdale and Santa Clarita. The injured employee, who suffered a burn to his right hand, was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. He was not identified, nor was his condition given.

Anthony Brown, who was with Darcy turning in employment applications, said he saw two tanks explode before the plant workers realized their efforts to put out the blaze were not succeeding. Two trucks were also damaged, firefighters said.
