EMJ appoints new managing director for European operations.


BREA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 1997--The Earle M. Jorgensen Co. (EMJ EMJ Emergency Medicine Journal ), with headquarters in Brea, Wednesday announced the appointment of Ian Machent as managing director of European Operations.

Machent will also assume the title of president, Earle M. Jorgensen (UK) Ltd. based in Sheffield, U.K.

Machent has been employed by the company's subsidiary in the U.K. since 1986 in several key positions until his latest appointment.

Earle M. Jorgensen (UK) Ltd. operates metal distribution centers in Sheffield, and Arbroath, Scotland, and distributes metal products into Western Europe Western Europe
