EMI Recorded Music to Use MusicTabs for Online Radio Promotion.

Imhotech's MusicTabs system enables record companies to electronically distribute music and related information to radio stations and other outlets, and receive real-time feedback. The relationship between EMI and Imhotech commenced earlier this year when EMI's Virgin Records label used MusicTabs to market and promote D'Angelo's latest release, "Voodoo," to radio programmers throughout the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. In addition to providing the radio programmer with the ability to experience new music through audio, video, graphics and text, MusicTabs provides a rich back-end of communications tools to aid the records to radio dialogue. Using MusicTabs, radio programmers can request interviews, contests and artist drops. Record label reps have access to radio station activity, comments and opinions. Rounding out the set of tools is TabNotes, an e-mail style messaging service exclusive to users in records and radio.
