Shelton, a veteran facilities operations and maintenance executive, has been named Vice President, Government Services. Previously President of Burns and Roe Services Corp. where he was primarily engaged in facilities and utilities maintenance for the U.S. government, Mr. Shelton has had a distinguished 34-year career in the U.S. Navy, from which he retired as the senior Civil Engineers Corps officer while assigned to the personal staff of the Chief of Naval Operations chief of naval operations

In addition, a joint venture of which EFS is the managing partner was recently awarded a $400 million contract to provide base operations support to the U.S. Navy's facilities in the Western Puget Sound area of Washington State. The bases, part of Naval Region Northwest, encompass strategically important fleet support activities and are home to the U.S. Pacific Fleet's nuclear submarines. Under the terms of the contract, over 500 personnel are providing services that include management and administration for security, facilities support, utilities, equipment maintenance, and environmental services.

Mr. Shelton's Navy career spanned six command tours in all facets of the Navy's facilities and Naval Construction Force The combined construction units of the Navy, including primarily the mobile construction battalions and the amphibious construction battalions.
