Celerra FileMover enables the benefits of information lifecycle management Information Lifecycle Management refers to a wide-ranging set of strategies for administering storage systems on computing devices. Specifically, four categories of storage strategies may be considered under the auspices of ILM.  (ILM) by helping customers optimize the placement of files within their existing tiered storage A data storage system made up of two or more types of storage based on their access speed. A standard capability on all new EMC Celerra NAS systems, Celerra FileMover provides customers with an open technology that can integrate with EMC software, as well as software from other companies.
