Egan and Roger Marino, EMC has developed advanced storage and retrieval technologies for the world's largest companies.  Corp., Irvine, Calif., is being awarded a $43,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for instrumentation systems maintenance and operational services (67%) and supplies (33%) to include system enhancements and software modification, documentation and licenses for EMC Corp., the Data General Elips line of computers, the AviiON line of computers, Message Based A communications interface between two systems that is based on a set of text commands. A message-based system is a type of client/server relationship, in which requests are made by a client component, and the results are provided by a server component.  Reliable Channel and CLARiion storage equipment for use with Data General/EMC equipment, as well as for the Symmetrix line of equipment and associated system and distribution software from EMC.
