EMC Acquires Luminate Software.

HOPKINTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 2001

EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) today announced it has acquired Luminate Software Corporation, a privately held software company based in Redwood City, California, in a cash transaction valued at approximately $50 million. Luminate develops performance monitoring software for storage-intensive applications and operating environments. Luminate is the seventh software acquisition EMC has made in the last 20 months.
