ELPAS Wins Two Awards in IRFID Technology.

ELPAS' EIRIS(TM)-based applications won two awards in two separate categories at the RFID 2000 awards ceremony, which took place on the November 15th, during the Frontline Solutions Expo 2000.

ELPAS was declared winner in the Security/Access-Control category, and came second in the Novel Use category. ELPAS' accomplishments were centered on the EIRIS(TM) Local Positioning System, which was installed in the modern offices of Gitam/BBDO LTD.-a leading advertising and marketing firm in Israel.

As part of the EIRIS(TM) installation, Gitam/BBDO employees were issued personalized IRFID(TM) badges, which perform numerous applications such as Call Completion were incoming call are re-routed to the phone in closest proximity to the desired person within the 3-floor building. This feature eliminated the need for the loud, disruptive PA system.

Another example is the Access Control that was installed in doorways and in the inner office elevator. Energy consumption at GITAM, such as lighting, has been significantly reduced, as lights automatically switch on or off depending on employee presence. The Visit Coordination application enables reception to keep track of the guests' location. Last but not least, was the integration to the employee Time and Attendance system that automatically registers employee entrance and exit times to payroll,
