Each got a $10 gift certificate. Nicolas Pontecorvo of Saugus High and Ashley Litteken of Canyon High High school students who received $1,000 scholarships. Raphie Syed and Loren Sitomer of Saugus High, Aaron Andrade of Canyon High and Natalie Ayala of Valencia High received $500. Ginger Larkin was named Elk of the Year. Mike Fisher got the Tall Elk award, and Frank Webster was named lodge Officer of the Year. Elks Dan Cormingston, Dennis Atkins and Skip Henke and Emblem Club President Patty Chisler also received awards. The lodge's exalted ruler, Kelvin Swanson, and Santa Clarita Mayor Frank Ferry presented the awards.
