 has received an initial purchase order under the subcontract in the amount of $227,000. Further production purchase order releases under the contract are subject to satisfactory completion of field testing of the TETS systems and their EIP components. It is anticipated that this testing will be completed in the middle of calendar 1998, and that EIP could begin shipping production quantities of signal generators and down converters in its fourth fiscal quarter ending September 1998.

The total sales value to EIP over the life of the subcontract could range from approximately $3,500,000 up to a maximum of approximately $20,000,000 if all quantity options are exercised. Total sales value to EIP is subject to cancellation provisions in favor of ManTech.

EIP Microwave manufactures microwave and radio frequency test and measurement instruments, which are predominantly used in the telecommunications, wireless and defense industries. EIP has manufacturing facilities in Milpitas. EIP's common stock is quoted on the OTC Bulletin Board OTC Bulletin Board
