EFTC Corporation Announces Authorization of Stock Repurchase Program.

EFTC Corporation (Nasdaq:EFTC), a leading provider of high mix electronics manufacturing services, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of up to $5.0 million of its common stock.

The repurchase program authorizes management, at its discretion, to make purchases from time to time on the open market or in privately negotiated block transactions. The stock repurchases would be based on management's assessment of EFTC's capital structure and liquidity, the market price of EFTC's stock compared to management's assessment of the underlying value, as well as regulatory, accounting and other factors.

The repurchase program reflects the Board's belief that, at recent prices, EFTC's shares are an attractive long-term investment for the Company and its shareholders.

On December 28, 2001, the last sale price of EFTC common stock was $1.70 per share, and the Company had approximately 49 million shares outstanding.
