EDUCATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY DISCUSSED.

PALMDALE - Three representatives of Juniper juniper, any tree or shrub of the genus Juniperus, aromatic evergreens of the family Cupressaceae (cypress family), widely distributed over the north temperate zone. Many are valuable as a source of lumber and oil.  Intermediate School recently attended a session at the University of California, Los Angeles UCLA comprises the College of Letters and Science (the primary undergraduate college), seven professional schools, and five professional Health Science schools. Since 2001, UCLA has enrolled over 33,000 total students, and that number is steadily rising. , Faculty Center on harmonizing federal and state systems for school accountability.

California California (kăl'ĭfôr`nyə), most populous state in the United States, located in the Far West; bordered by Oregon (N), Nevada and, across the Colorado River, Arizona (E), Mexico (S), and the Pacific Ocean (W).  Education Secretary Alan Bersin Alan Bersin is a former Secretary of Education for California, as well as a former superintendent of San Diego City Schools, past federal assistant district attorney for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, and former Attorney General’s  spoke at the session sponsored by UCLA's Graduate School of Education and Information Science Educational Leadership Program and by Rogers Associates.

There from Juniper were Vice Principal Frances Ufondu; Pamela Van Velsir, director of the Advancement Via Individual Determination or AVID Program; and Roslyn Haley, president of the Parent Teacher Student Association.

Bersin emphasized the need to harmonize federal and state accountability laws, to develop a system to identify and help schools that are not making progress or that are making some progress but not yet performing satisfactorily.
