Charter school offers open houses

The Network Charter School has two upcoming open houses planned for prospective students and their families, the first on Wednesday and the second on April 19. Both will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at all the school's locations: the administration, MECCA and Nearby Nature site at 45 W. Broadway; Le Petit PETIT, sometimes corrupted into petty. Contest open for outstanding volunteers

Campbell's Soup Co. is soliciting entries in its Soup at Hand ... Get a Board Awards, open to teens 13 to 18 years old in grades nine through 12. The award recognizes teens who make an outstanding contribution to their school or community by volunteering. The top prizes in two categories are $5,000 scholarships and a celebrity-signed snowboard and a lesson with Tara Dakides Tara Dakides (born August 20, 1975 in Mission Viejo, California) is an American snowboarder and is considered to be influential to the sport. She has been snowboarding since she was 18 years old. She is a current resident of Mammoth Lakes, California.  or a celebrity-signed skateboard and private lesson with Bucky Kasek. Nominations must be postmarked by March 21. Teens can self-nominate or be nominated by a friend, parent, teacher, guardian or adviser. The nomination package consists of an official form, two letters of recommendation and an essay of 200 words or less.
