EDR Delivers Minnesota Aerial Photos Online, Satisfies Industry Demand for Quicker Turnaround.

EDR's Director of Historical Research, Tina Thomas, today announced that the Connecticut-based company, a national provider of environmental risk management data, has made historical aerial photographs for sites in Minnesota available online. The photos are delivered in JPEG format and can be enlarged, reduced or printed. Additionally, clients can import the photos directly into their environmental site assessment (ESA) reports, which are required by banks for most property transfers. By shortening photo delivery time, EDR has helped decrease the turnaround time required by a typical Phase I ESA.

Environmental consultants and other environmental professionals use historical aerial photographs to help determine whether a site's past uses may have contributed to environmental contamination. Where available, EDR supplies one photo per site per decade, allowing the user to see how the property has evolved over time. The JPEG images can be used to help satisfy the historical research requirements of ASTM E 1527-00, the industry standard for Phase I site assessments.

In addition to offering online photo delivery for sites in the North Star State, EDR offers the service for sites in Texas, Michigan, and California. The company will be expanding online photo delivery to other states as part of its ongoing effort to provide as much data as possible electronically.
