EDO Corp. makes announcement Business Editors.COLLEGE POINT, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 1995--EDO Edo: see Tokyo, Japan. Corp. (NYSE:EDO)("EDO") announced today that its Chief Financial Officer Michael J. Hegarty, 56, Vice President - Finance, Secretary, Treasurer and a Director will retire as an officer on Aug. 1, 1995, but will continue as a member of the Board of Directors. Hegarty has announced he is leaving to assume the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Flushing Savings Bank where he has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 1987. EDO has not announced a successor as yet. Hegarty, a graduate of Manhattan College and a certified public accountant, joined EDO Corp. in 1966. He was elected Treasurer in 1967, Vice President Finance in 1981, a member of the Board of Directors in 1982, and to the position of Secretary in 1985. In a joint statement, Frank A. Fariello, EDO's President and Chief Executive Officer and Robert M. Hanisee, EDO's Chairman of the Board stated, "We are saddened to be losing someone of Mike's professional depth and personal character from the officer ranks but are pleased we will have the continuity of his experience and judgment at the Board level where he will also contribute immediately in helping choose his successor. We wish Mike well in his new operating career in the banking industry."
