EDITORIAL TAKING CHARGE SCHOOL BOARD MAKES THE RIGHT CHOICE ON STUDENT'S GRADE.

AFTER trying to shirk shirk

In Islam, idolatry and polytheism, both of which are regarded as heretical. The Qu'ran stresses that God does not share his powers with any partner (sharik) and warns that those who believe in idols will be harshly dealt with on the Day of Judgment.

What's more, it did the right thing.

one, this makes for a remarkable turn of events.

But give credit to the school board; it did the right thing by taking on the case of Amanda (language) Amanda - A functional programming language derived mostly from Miranda with some small changes. Amanda was written by Dick Bruin and implemented on MS-DOS and NeXT. It is available as an interperator only.  Wolin Wolin or Wollin (both: vô`lēn), island, 95 sq mi (246 sq km), off the coast of Pomerania, in the Baltic Sea, and belonging to Poland. Wolin, a previously straight-A student, claimed two teachers did her wrong by giving her B's. Her parents challenged the grades all the way up to the school board, the last avenue of internal appeal. (Although they now say they plan to take their challenge to court.)

That's the way the process is set up to work, with the board as the ultimate decision-maker. And the board made what seems to be the fair call.

The two teachers in question are widely considered among Taft's best and fairest. Absent any tangible evidence of discrimination, they deserve great flexibility in how they assign grades. Educating and grading are an art, not a science.

And if a school's grading system is going to have any integrity, it must be subject to review, but not subject to revision whenever anyone's disappointed.
