AMID the flags, the parades and the backyard barbecues, it's often easy to forget that Memorial Day is - or at least should be - a day of remembrance, when the nation pauses to honor As a verb, to accept a bill of exchange, or to pay a note, check, or accepted bill, at maturity. To pay or to accept and pay, or, where a credit so engages, to purchase or discount a draft complying with the terms of the draft.  the heroic he·ro·ic

 men and women who gave their lives for our freedom.

This year, those heroes won't be so easily forgotten.

This year, their ranks include 138 more names, American soldiers, sailors SAILORS. Seamen, mariners. Vide Mariners; Seamen; Shipping Articles. , airmen and Marines who died serving their country in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

This year, as we see the yellow ribbons displayed hopefully throughout our communities, we are sadly reminded of those who won't be returning from the Middle East. And we remember their families, for whom Memorial Day surely gives cause for pride, but also for pain, and little heartfelt heart·felt
