EDITORIAL RELIEF MISSION LOCAL HELP STILL NEEDED FOR IRAN QUAKE VICTIMS.


IN just a few seconds, the political differences between the United States and a Middle Eastern country once named as part of the ``axis of evil'' by President George W. Bush, were wiped away Friday by Mother Nature herself.

A 6.5-magnitude earthquake tore through the Iranian city of Bam, killing as many as 25,000 and injuring untold numbers of others. The walls of an ancient citadel toppled along with houses and businesses, obliterating o·blit·er·ate
