What an absurd waste of time!

While council members may be genuine in their beliefs - and they certainly are entitled to express their individual opinions - those beliefs have no bearing on their duties and responsibilities to the people of L.A.

Rather than pontificating about matters over which it has no control, the City Council would be better off focusing on the areas where it could actually make a difference.

For starters: What's City Hall doing to protect L.A. residents from a chemical or biological terrorist attack?

Save for a few activists, few Angelenos want to watch their City Council members posture. We'd rather see them do the work they're being paid to do.
